Every year on the last Saturday of March, individuals and organizations turn off the non-essential lights for one hour – from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. – to support Earth Hour. This year marks the fifteenth anniversary of the worldwide movement.

Since the first Earth Hour event was held in 2007 by WWF, it has become an icon for awareness among people about the impacts of our unsustainable actions on the natural world, leading to the loss of nature and climate change.

BaseN puts paramount importance to sustainability and supports sustainable actions by enabling energy efficiency for its customers such as  AdjutanttiSpinelli and VolkerWessels. BaseN Platform’s immense data processing capabilities make it possible to monitor and control the overall and device-specific energy consumption in smart homes, resulting in real-time energy awareness among smart building residents.

December 7, 2021, marks the 20-year anniversary of BaseN Corporation.

The Java Log4j vulnerability which has been recently found in many cloud environments and services around the internet does NOT affect BaseN or any of our platform components. The Java Development Kit version we are using is newer than the affected ones. BaseN is not vulnerable for the bug.
