“General Lindberg brings critical geopolitical and technical expertise”
BASEN Helsinki 27.9. General Jarmo Lindberg today joined the board of directors of the Helsinki-headquartered global internet of things (IoT) operator BaseN. A highly regarded authority in hybrid threats and opportunities, BaseN considers the General’s expertise of outmost importance to the company’s next phase.
“Geopolitical insights are critical as we prepare for the next industrial revolution,” says Pasi Hurri, who is the company’s founder, president, C.E.O. and himself an alumni of the Finnish Air Force.
As former Chief of Finnish Defence and a fighter pilot himself, General Lindberg’s knowledge is not limited to global security issues. He is thoroughly versed in the way technology is transforming the world.
“The General has closely followed the cutting edge of technology for several decades. He has a very accurate understanding of where the digital transformation is heading to,” Pasi Hurri says.
The BaseN Platform, recognized for its inherent distribution, scalability and fault tolerance, shares much of its concept and design principles with those of the Finnish Air Force. In recent years, BaseN has used it to grow its operations globally. Today the company serves a global customer base in more than 80 countries.
