BaseN, Global Internet of Things Operator, appoints Erik Bunn as Chief Technology Officer and member of the management team. Mr. Bunn is one of the founders of BaseN and previously held the position of Chief Architect. This appointment as Chief Technology Officer is effective immediately.
“Erik planned, designed, and implemented our distributed computing system, which is at the core of everything BaseN does”, says Pasi Hurri, President and Chief Executive Officer of BaseN. “Over the past 14 years, Erik has been a main driver behind BaseN’s technology advancement and innovation, paving the road for our groundbreaking spime offering. We are looking forward to his continuous significant contribution in this new role.”
Mr. Bunn has extensive experience in the technology field. He started his career at Nokia as an ICT Systems Engineer after graduating from the Helsinki University of Technology with a Master’s degree in Applied Physics. Prior to BaseN, he also worked as a Researcher at Helsinki University of Technology and as a Software Developer at Java development company Regex.
