In 2015, a total of 18 partners have joined forces to start the European project STORY, which demonstrates new energy storage technologies and their benefits in distribution systems in eight different European countries.
STORY partners are operating demonstration sites in Slovenia, Belgium and Spain, with another site in the United Kingdom (Northern Ireland) going live soon. The residential sites in Belgium are now expanding to cover a whole neighborhood with a micro grid providing more grid stability, while the Slovenian site will bring a battery storage online.
Through BaseN’s unprecedented, inherently scalable and mission critical Platform, measurement data from various installation sites is gathered and provided for all the project members in real-time. The collected data is displayed in an easily understandable, concise and relevant way – which enables the STORY team to successfully compare, analyse and demonstrate the value of the sites while individual partners also use the data for models feeding control back to the system.
