BaseN now supports data collection from Sigfox for further processing and for visually presenting results. A Sigfox template is available in BaseN Platform’s library for quick deployment when customers want to utilize Sigfox’s energy efficient connectivity network for their Internet of Things devices.
The relevance of this integration can be seen at long term BaseN customer T-Mobile’s rollout of Sigfox coverage in the entire Czech Republic. A minimum number of 350 Sigfox base stations, results in very good signal transmission to buildings and high reliability of message delivery even under poor radio conditions. Sigfox is installed on standard mobile base stations and allows for economical and energy-efficient transmission of small data volumes over long distances. This removes barriers to broad implementation of IoT and M2M solutions and significantly extends the battery life as well as the service life of connected devices.
