Spime-powered solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emission

::: news :::

Several Finnish Municipalities have committed to reducing their greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) more extensively and more rapidly than required by the current EU legislation and are further aiming to become carbon neutral. BaseN Platform is utilized already for ten years to measure and visualize HINKU data related to emissions, power consumption and overall resource efficiency.

“BaseN Platform has been a leading environment for several smart cities like Uusikaupunki to monitor the efficiency of the changes they have done for reducing their carbon foot print”, says SVP Sales Jukka Paananen of BaseN. “Companies such as Kalaset fish processing company profit from the new energy efficiency that doesn’t only cut the emissions but as well reduces costs significantly. Pekka Vapanen, CEO of Kalaset has stated that this good experience encourages them even more to find saving options in their energy consumption. For example changing to motion sensor driven LED lights in the freezer halls.”
