US Chief Technology Officer – NIST

I’m here at NIST in an IEEE SmartGridComm conference, together with my CTO. The quality of these presentations and ideas is breathtakingly high – including the presentation of US Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra. I so much miss this kind of vigorous governmental engagement in European countries.

After conferring with a few colleagues from industry and academia here, I am more confident than ever that the BaseN Platform is the ultimate solution for creating a Smart Grid for a utility, city, country or even a continent. It is very apparent that the energy industry needs lessons learned in the telecoms world in the exploding growth of the Internet – the experience that BaseN has been build upon.
