Spime-powered autonomous systems

::: news :::

We are proud to announce that BaseN is one of the four selected companies taking part in the cohort initiated by ASPIRE WITH ESA, the purpose-driven acceleration initiative of ESA Space Solutions.

The cohort, consisting of BaseN, Sensonomic, EZ Lab and Kermat, targets Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to achieve a better and more sustainable future focusing on:

  • Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
  • Sustainable Cities & Communities
  • Responsible Consumption and Production

BaseN Spime Enablement Services (SES) Architecture is designed to host millions of spimes (next generation digital twins) of smart objects like rovers, probes and drones. The SES architecture is sustainable due to its reusability for other autonomous systems, e.g. in agriculture. BaseN has a line of industrial-grade data collection agents (Spime Enabler 2 and 3) which can be deployed in even the harshest conditions.

With SES, manufacturers get a ready framework to easily create spimes and digital twins for their devices and track the entire lifecycle, creating a sustainable and reusable SES platform for space vehicles and other industries in need of autonomous systems.

About BaseN

BaseN, established in 2001, is the inherently scalable computing Platform for hosting billions of spimes, the core objects of the Internet of Things. Spime is the permanent logical brain and memory of any physical Thing. BaseN currently handles over one million spime transactions per second, and enables the transformation from physical products to intelligent services in any industry. The fault tolerance of BaseN storage and data retrieval system is based on military standards and the architecture was originally designed for air defense radar data.
