BaseN joins German Energiewende Conversation with ABB and FHNW

::: events :::

The University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) is arranging an event on November 25th, 2014, to focus on Cloud solutions and innovative IT solutions in the energy sector in general and more specifically on the German Energiewende. Topi Mikkola, Software Engineer at BaseN, will talk about “Efficient, Cloud-Based Analysis of Data Streams for Controlling of Power Networks”.

Next to BaseN, ABB and LC Systems contribute with company insights. The full program of the event can be found here (in German).

FHNW and BaseN are research partners in the DYNE project that kicked off in September 2012 and will conclude in spring 2015. DYNE concentrates on Dynamic Complex Event Processing (DCEP) for Hybrid Telecommunication Networks and Smart Grids. It provides a distributed high-performance DCEP service that answers to the currently unaddressed challenges encountered in those networks to retrieve, retain, and process truly massive quantities and flows of data with sufficient deductive capacity.
