BaseN CEO Pasi Hurri Elected Treasurer and Board Member of the IEEE Finland Section

BaseN Corporation today announced that its founder and CEO, Pasi Hurri, has been appointed as Treasurer of the IEEE Finland Section.

Hurri, who is also a board member of the IEEE Finland section and a board member of the Joint Chapter of  Control System Society, Robotics and Automation Society and System, Man and Cybernetics Society (SMCS, RAS, and CAS )in Finland, brings over three decades of experience in technology management, global network engineering, and executive leadership to the financial oversight of the organization’s Finnish operations. Hurri is also a Senior Member of the IEEE internationally and serves as a Member at Large for the global IEEE CQR (Communications Quality and Reliability) chapter.

As Treasurer, Pasi will oversee the financial planning, budget allocation, and operational stability required to support the IEEE Finland Section’s mission of fostering technological innovation and engineering excellence across the country.

These combined leadership roles build a direct bridge to Hurri’s broader dedication to Finland’s technological resilience and sovereign digital infrastructure. Alongside his work with the IEEE, Hurri serves as the Vice Chair of SRAL (Suomen Radioamatööriliitto / The Finnish Amateur Radio League). His active involvement across both organizations underscores a lifetime commitment to strengthening critical communication systems, advancing wireless engineering, and fostering community preparedness nationwide.
