KPN is a telecommunications company offering a wide range of high quality and innovative telecommunications services for both private and business markets. Its core business activities are mobile communications, fixed networks, Internet services and IP/Data services. KPN’s international network is a state- of-the-art data/IP backbone with a seamless footprint extending across major business and financial centers in Europe. KPN’s EuroRings portfolio delivers a full range of carrier and corporate networking solutions to over 20,000 customers over a high-capacity fiber-optic network.
KPN’s customers wanted a deeper insight into their networks and KPN was keen to deliver - ahead of the competition. It was clear that one of the keys to customer retention and business development was providing accurate, up-to- date and independently verifiable Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance reports that would work across multiple service platforms. The project’s technical requirements would be considerable and fairly complex. Needing a hugely scalable, real time easy-to-use platform, BaseN was a natural choice. KPN fully outsourced the network and performance data platform to BaseN and thus achieved independent SLA and data verification. BaseN launches new features on a constant basis, all readily available to each customer. This allows KPN to offer a feature-rich, ever evolving service to their end customers.
