BaseN names Rhett Williams to unify BaseN Sales and Marketing team
BaseN has appointed Rhett Williams as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer to unify BaseN Sales and Marketing team. In addition to his new expanded role, Rhett Williams continues in his current position as the President of BaseN North American operations and the member of BaseN Corporate Management team.
- In this key role, Rhett brings his broad global experience and Sales & Marketing talents which are ideally suited to this new position, praised Pasi Hurri, President and CEO of BaseN.
Jani Lahtinen to lead BaseN R&D
Dr. Jani Lahtinen has been appointed as Head of Research and a member of the BaseN Technology Team.
Prior to joining BaseN he served Nokia Networks as Senior System Engineer, and as a freelance consultant.
He will be supervising the BaseN research projects from which the company will provide future solutions for the customers. He is also leveraging his experience and enthusiasm on verbal communication, working methods and collaboration. The modelling aspects and the long term perspective Jani Lahtinen will provide allows BaseN a strong vision for the future.
Jani Lahtinen completed his doctoral dissertation at the Helsinki University of Technology for the Laboratory of Computational Engineering in the early 2005 with topics on statistical inference and simulation on stochastic systems. He has a record on publications on renowned journals and conferences with innovative topics.

Katri Oinonen to reinforce BaseN’s project management
Katri Oinonen has been appointed as Project Manager for BaseN Product Management team in responsible for the project administration and BaseN product development.
After completing her Masters degree in Artificial Intelligence, Katri Oinonen has worked as a researcher in Sentient, Amsterdam School of Communications Research, and University of Twente in several projects involving subjects from privacy protection on internet to human media interaction and emotionally affective computational story generation. Latest years she has committed to software development and design of online games. At BaseN she is happy to exploit her competencies in innovation on various new domains.

Tapio Salmi joins BaseN Product Management Team
BaseN has appointed Tapio Salmi as Support Engineer and a member of the Product Management Team.
Tapio Salmi joins BaseN after his valuable role in the BaseN Energy Awareness Technologies project called BEAT. In his role as Support Engineer, Tapio Salmi will be involved in technical sales support as well as service and product development tasks within BaseN's international customer projects.
Tapio Salmi has graduated from Finnish Business College where he completed the Vocational Qualification in Business Information Technology focusing on Information Technology Services and Marketing.- We are happy to welcome Tapio to BaseN. His contribution to our Product Management Team is an invaluable addition to our growing company, commented BaseN’s Product Manager Sujit Wings.
