The fastest growing technology companies in Finland have been announced – and BaseN is among them again. As a result of the qualitative research by the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Program, BaseN reached 12th place on the list with a growth rate of 690,6 % (percent).
“We are extremely proud to be listed once again among the fastest growing technology companies in Finland. It is important to note that our growth has been purely organic, with no acquisitions or mergers”, said Pasi Hurri, CEO and President of BaseN.
At the moment the strongest growth for BaseN is coming from the US market; BaseN launched its US operations in 2005.
In the EU region, in addition to BaseN’s historically strong operations in the Netherlands, the offices in Spain and the Czech Republic are beginning to play a very significant role in BaseN’s service development and sales activities.
Furthermore, a growing component of BaseN’s revenues is now coming from mobile operators and large mobile network providers, whose service centric vision is very compatible with BaseN’s strategy. For example, those providers are at the moment securing millions of GPRS connections in the Asia Pacific region (APAC) using the BaseN Platform. The monitored networks serve several millions of users and are growing rapidly.
These solutions are an outgrowth of our close cooperation with our customers in the mobile communications field, a cooperation which has enabled BaseN to develop sophisticated solutions for monitoring GPRS networks and services.
BaseN is also gaining a strong foothold as a service platform for traditional infrastructure players like energy and building automation companies. The BaseN Platform’s architecture eliminates much of the friction involved with large scale internal IT projects which aim to provide thousands of customers with real time, accurate data through customized portals. 
Looking to the future, BaseN is currently testing its real-time energy measuring services in private homes. The technology will enable the measurement of millions of households in the near future. BaseN is expecting the energy measurement services to provide significant additional growth for the company.
The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 prize is awarded annually and based on a range of financial information sources. In 2005 BaseN was awarded first prize with an exceptional growth rate in the Deloitte's "Rising Star" technology listing.
