BaseN to become new monitoring partner for FICORA
BaseN Corporation and Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority (FICORA) have concluded a service agreement through which BaseN will deliver high-level monitoring and reporting services for FICORA.
The scope of the agreement covers real-time monitoring for usability of FICORA´s .fi root-nameservers and the fi-domain name service. Furthermore, the contract also covers monitoring of Finnish root-nameserver for electronic number mapping (ENUM).
According to Juhani Juselius, Head of Domain Names from FICORA, the service of BaseN complies with the utmost high demands set by FICORA for securing its critical internet services for Finnish .fi-ended emails and web pages.
- The BaseN Platform enables us to use visualized, real-time and accurate data for evaluating the capacity and status of our fi-domain name service. With BaseN Platform we are able to react immediately for any denial-of-service (DoS) attacks and thus prevent major problems in our internet service, says Juhani Juselius.
- With BaseN reporting service, completed with alerts by email and sms, we are also able to handle our critical technical failures outside the office hours. We are planning to expand our agreement with other domain name services to come under BaseN monitoring and reporting in the near future, adds Juhani Juselius.
