Platform Elements
The BaseN Platform is a next generation platform built on a redundant computing grid. Due to the grid architecture, BaseN is extremely scalable, flexible and stable. The components within the grid work together, but can function separately from each other and automatically take each other's roles.
The BaseN platform can be easily integrated into existing interfaces and monitors your network across all devices and protocols. The information is available in a semantic network: The generated overviews allow you to drill down even to individual historical measurement data.
The Platform is delivered as a full service turnkey in-house SaaS Solution.
Distributed Computing Grid
The data is processed in the Platform's computing grid. The machines can be physically located at different locations and communicate over common networks. In order to ensure full redundancy, each component exists at least twice within the grid.
Local Agent Machines
Local Agent Machines gather measurement data from the network
The data is sent from the Agents to Loggers in the BaseN Platform

Agents at Customer premises, other servers at BaseN
- Customer has the monitoring Agents in their network and premises
- Customer is responsible for basic physical conditions like electricity, network connection and air conditioning for the Agents
- Customer is responsible to arrange remote access to the Agents for maintenance
- All other servers except agents are in the BaseN Datacenter
- BaseN is responsible for maintenance of the Platform, regardless of physical location of the hardware (Full SaaS service)
