BaseN Corporation was established by a group of network professionals who have been developing Internet and IP technologies for the last two decades, both in industry and service provider world.

Pasi Hurri, President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Hurri began his career in the Technology Department of Finnish based Ahlstrom Corporation. During his 13 years at Ahlstrom, Hurri played a significant role in leveraging and adapting the newest technologies for the company. After perfecting the global network for the company, Hurri decided to accept his new challenge to lead the Network Operations Group at EUnet Finland. EUnet was the first ISP in Finland which merged with Dutch based KPNQwest. Hurri served in several senior management positions at KPNQwest NV including Vice President of the Engineering and Technology departments. Hurri, coupled with his expertise and background, decided to venture off and established BaseN Corporation.

Niilo Neuvo, Deputy Chief Executive Officer & Chief Technical Officer

Mr. Neuvo has had a long career in the Finnish IP/ISP sector. In 1994 he started one of the first ISP's, Scifi Communications International Oy / sci.fi, in Finland. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions Scifi became part of the HEX listed Jippii Group. Neuvo served as CTO at Jippii Group prior to accepting his current position at BaseN.

Monica Bouchibane, Chief Operating Officer

Ms Bouchibane began her IP networking career in 1983 at Ericsson Telecom in Stockholm, where she developed the Swedish part of the internet and other data communications. Later joining Ericsson Data Services Sweden after which she moved to the Netherlands Product Management and Operations. In 1997 she joined EUnet International based in Amsterdam, where she ran backbone operations for the EUnet Group. After the EUnet group was bought by Qwest which later formed a joint venture with KPN. In KPNQwest she worked as Vice President of Network Architecture. Joined BaseN in late 2002 and has been COO since mid 2004.

Rhett Williams, Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer

Mr. Williams, a veteran executive with extensive Internet, telecommunications and software experience obtained around the globe, is leading all aspects of BaseN's presence in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean markets. Mr. Williams was most recently CEO of pan-European ISP, VIA Net.Works, Inc. and has held various senior executive positions with AT&T, Control Data Corporation, Uniworld, KPN and KPNQwest in the United States as well as in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Mr. Williams - who joined BaseN in May of 2005 - is a member of several Boards and Councils, and is also a Managing Partner in RSW Associates, LLC.

Sujit Wings, Product Manager

Mr. Wings started his career in IT as a software developer for GWS Sohlberg. He later changed to Crown Pakkaus, where he was responsible for the implementation of SIX SIGMA quality control processes in cooperation with Fraunhofer Institute IPK Berlin. Mr. Wings joined BaseN in March 2006 for leading the Product Management team and the Emerging Markets business unit.



Sari Lehikoinen, Corporate Communications Director

Mrs. Lehikoinen has a long and diverse working experience in IT and Telecom business in sales, marketing and communication. Mrs. Lehikoinen was most recently a Managing Director and a Communications Consultant of Scriptera Oy. She also held several managerial positions with Elisa Corporation where she was responsible for developing the CRM strategy and marketing for the company’s major corporate customers. Mrs. Lehikoinen joined BaseN in January 2008 for leading the corporate communication, marketing and global brand management and stakeholder relations.
